IIT Jammu has initiated an internship programme for the students of the National Skill Training Institute for Women (NSTI) Jammu, which aims at enhancing their on the job skills further boosting employment opportunities.Where 25 promising candidates are participating in a comprehensive on-job training programme focused on computer software applications. The collaboration was formalized through a MOU between IIT Jammu and NSTI Jammu, marking the beginning of a transformative educational journey.

The internship programme is for one month, which is designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in several key areas of computer software applications. It includes training in the curriculum of web development, app development, database management, data analysis using tools like Power BI and Excel, and networking. The internship aims to equip the students with the necessary technical skills and knowledge to excel in the tech industry. 

Under the guidance of experienced faculties, the participants will receive mentorship and support, enhancing their technical skills and making them job-ready.

By the end of the training, students will be well-equipped to pursue various roles in the field, significantly improving their employability. It is expected that this program will have a positive impact on the participants, paving the way for similar initiatives in the future.
