The Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the students of Department of Civil Engineering, MIET Jammu was held on May 22nd, 2024. The students completed the Minor Area Certification in Hydraulics and Water Resources  and Transportation Engineering, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. This prestigious event celebrated the culmination of a two-year engagement designed to provide students with specialized knowledge in key sub-branches of Civil Engineering.

The targeted sub-branches for this certification were Open Channel Hydraulics and Transportation Engineering, specifically focusing on Roads and Tunnels. These areas are critical for the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure, and the program aims to prepare students to meet the complex challenges in these fields with expertise and confidence.

A total of 83 students enrolled in and successfully completed this demanding certification course, a testament to their hard work and dedication. Throughout their studies, they were guided by our esteemed faculty members Dr. Vinay Chembolu and Dr. Ankit Kathuria  , whose expertise and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping the future of these young engineers.

The event was graced by the presence of Director IIT Jammu, Prof.Manoj Gaur and Director MIET Jammu, Prof.Ankur Gupta, who shared their valuable insights with the students. Their presence was a source of great inspiration for the students, as they emphasized the importance of continuous learning and the significant impact these young professionals will have on the field of Civil Engineering.
